THE COSMIC BULL

Mithraic-Zoroastrian Symbolism and Hartford CT, Freemasonry Symbolism Found on Colt Pistol Grips!Cosmic Cow.jpg

Notes: Its now acknowledged that Colt Firearms engravers and the Ulrich family of engravers followed this history. Herman Ulrich’s fancy exhibition Colt pistol grips, show even better detailed Masonic symbolism on the carved bull grips, representing this Cosmic  Religion associated with the Military of ancient Romes Legio’s.

Here is a link on the Great Seal history I worked on in the past while, linking Mithraic history.

Quote from GIS “Three of the most easily recognizable symbols that comprise the Great Seal are the truncated pyramid, the all seeing eye, and the Phoenix bird that many feel the eagle on the seal actually represents. Indeed many early versions or drafts of the Great Seal include a bird with a plume on its crown that does not resemble the eagle and is representative of the Phoenix of the Mithraic faith of what was once the Persian Empire. Mithraism would also go on to be very popular in the Legions of Rome at about the time of Christ. Interestingly some of the origins of fabled Knighthoods may lay in the working and values of the Byzantine (Greek) and Roman (Latin) Legionaries themselves. The all seeing eye symbol is clearly associated and documented as being a product of dynastic Egypt.”

Ulrich Art Manipulation of Numbers! The 4th Degree Symbolism and a Masters 47 Symbolism Numbers!

MARK MASTER SYMBOLISM

Having learned of the fitters marks on Winchesters. Now it can be said that the person who blued the internal parts of the Teddy Roosevelt Rifle was in no question an Ulrich. Im going to do a review of the hi-resolution images and come to a conclusion of which Ulrich was a Mark Master Mason. The horse design is Hermans, but Conrad could have also don the horse. There is alot going on with small symbolism in the shading and on the buffalo’s hoof, upper one! Having spoke to the Cody Museum! The 4 by the lever is a mark of the fittewr who put the gun together. Except that I now have three “4” marks that are definitly Masonic ! I have to conclude that the symbolism is to the 4th Degree! Maybe it was done in a manner to inspire the President to advance his learning with Masonry! Historians all know Roosevelt was sick after his South America expedition and shortly over the years he had past. Factually, Roosevelt was a Blue Lodge Master Mason and here we see the Ulrich’s presenting higher degree symbolism!

Over the last week I tried to find any horses done by the Ulrich’s and so far this is the only horse with the crossed hoofs that make a perfect number 4!

UPDATE:THERE IS MORE TO WHAT WE ARE SEEING HERE & MAJOR ADDITIONAL DISCOVERIES HAVE JUST BEEN MADE ON THIS TOPIC OF THE #4 THAT I WILL POST IN THE NEAR FUTURE!

UP-DATE: ON THE SCROLL ART BEING MASONIC IN ORIGINS(GREEN ARROWS POINT TO THE SCROLLS), BUT ITS HISTORY GOES BACK TO THE SAME ART ON SINCLAIRS BURIAL STONE AND OTHER AMORIAL ART! NOTE THE UPPER RIGHT LIONS TAIL IN THE ARMS OF THE EARL OF CAITHNESS!

Arms of George Sinclair, Earl of Caithness) on the Robertson of Inches mausoleum at Old High St Stephen’s Church, Inverness. American patriot, General Arthur ST. Clair is descended from the Earl who in a troubling times gave up the Earl of Orkney titles to King James III. THis is the time

Attached is a Masonic snuff box owned by Robert Craig in the 19th century. Just look at the scroll art that is Guild taught in origins back to Scotland with the 1st Grand Masters of Masonry! What does it mean? Is it Masonic? Look at this art on Craig’s box and look at Annies identical style of Masonic Scroll Art that speaks for itself….Craigs are Ulter Scottish Mason from Boston area, who are married with Ben Franklins family. Please read about the Craig’s in my document the Webb Horn on this site! Craig is also a father of the US Marine Corps. The “DO Not Tread On ME” Rattle Snake flag on this site was kept by the Craig’s. Only one of two surviving authentic,  18th century rattlesnake flags in US history. Carried by the Flag Bearer, who was one of the Craig’s  from Greenburg PA. Who’s family preserved “Proctor Militia Flag”! The art on the back of the snuff box is much like Gustave Youngs work.

Pictured above is a spectacular/rare 19th century Masonic snuff box. It has silver or nickel silver six-sided panels affixed to top and bottom of a wood box, by gold nails. The bottom (6 o’clock ) stud does rotate to 12 o’clock, thus exposing an double circular opening for the fingers. Superbly hand-engraved with the Square and Compasses, the Sun and the Moon, a handshake and it is engraved with the name of its owner “Robert Craig”. The reverse has a finely detailed, comical scene of 3 men in early morning hours (rooster in the window) enjoying too much of the “O Willie brew’d a peck o’ maut…” It measures 3 inches by 3 inches and is 1/2 inch thick.

A special “Thanks” to Brother Erik for permitting us to post the pictures and text of his beautiful snuff box. This snuff box is currently for sale and you can contact Erik on eBay under his User ID: “elnor57″ for purchasing information. Thanks Erik for giving us all a peek at this wonderful piece of Masonic folk art.

Below You should be able to zoom in and see the All Seeing Eye on the 2nd document! zThe 79 Lodge number is found on many documented Ulrich rifles and on the Roosevelt 1876 & 1892. If you go to the Masonic Ulrich Lodge 88 rifle with the Great Seal bird!

Herman Ulrich’s Makers Mark’s Found on both the Roosevelt 1876 and 1892 Winchester’s.

In the study of engravings over the years I have found that many people are not able to see the smaller makers marks. This find in rediscovering Hermans Ulrich’s maker marks are found on is Colt pistol engravings and on several other Winchesters documented to Herman Ulrich. What is uniques is that these marks are identical in design. Three of these marks are found on TR’s 1876 and two are clearly found on TR’s 1892.  These marks that are bold letters ” UH “and seen as “HU”! Colt’s engraver contacted Leslie Ulrich in the 1950’s and asked about Leslies fathers makers marks and Leslie said his marks were 1/16th on an inch in size. Where these are found as what appears to be scratch marks often. Except, each Ulrich had 3-4 different personalized letter makers marks and a variation of their own punch marks.

Exhibit “A” Winchester Engraver Jasper Salerno places Masonic Symbol on the “A” of his last name. Which holds an All Seeing Eye in the center!

Right rear edge of floor plate has the engravers signature “JSALERNO”, Jasper Salerno, Winchester factory engraver. The “A” in his signature is a stylized square & compass Masonic symbol, paying tribute to Mr. Salerno’s membership in that fraternal organization. Note if you look close at the symbol, you see its an All Seeing Eye. Look at the two eyes in the scroll work to the left of Jaspers name! Jasper appears to be one of the last to be so bold with pride to place his fraternity symbolism! This rifle was sold by James Julia Auction House in Fairfield, Maine. James Julia preserves one of the finest archives that people can go study the history of Firearm’s with images and compiled information known on the firearms being sold by the James Julia Firearms team! NOTE: THE TWO SCROLLS TO THE LEFT OF J. SALERNO ARE TWO EYES! THEY ARE WATCHING….

The Ulrich Engraved Annie Oakley Winchester. Masonic All-Seeing Eye Found & Lodge Number 79 In two location’s! Teddy Roosevelts matching makers mark to Oakleys Winchester by Leslie Ulrich.

Annie Oakley Section

The All Seeing Eye is about a s perfect as one gets to see in the scroll with a shaded Eyebrow. The scroll art to the left of the eye does have the large 79 numbers. Done in a style that conforms to several found on documented Ulrich engraved winchesters. Leslie Ulrich’s mark has never publicly been seen until now. This same “T, L” mark is found on the Teddy Roosevelt 1892. Cut as large as Annies mark by Leslie. Now, I have read that no other Leslie Ulrich rifles have not been identifed to him, other than this rifle he did for Annie Oakley! Well, there are three Winchesters with Leslies Master Mark found. Which only means he did Scout, not the entire 1892. The 1892 is the only known rifle to have makers marks and punch marks by the entire Ulrich family. Leslie wrote the Ulrich name fully spelled out, nect to his “T, L” makers mark. The smallest ever seen, Ulrich name as big as a tic tac. Eye is dead center of the scroll.

Leslie Ulrich’s Makers Mark on the Teddy Roosevelt 1892 & the Ulrich Name Spelled out! The first time ever seen Leslie Ulrich with his name spelled out. Note the symbols I put in boxes. Read the Talisman marks document! Right here, the Theodore Roosevelt rife has not ony the name spelled out. We have one of the few known Leslie Ulrich documented matchs with a fully documented rifle of Annie Oakleys with Leslie. Except my evidence shows that Leslies dad and uncle did do work on the Oakly rifle as well. NOTE: THE T/L Mark for Leslie is not a scratch, as you can see percise deep cuts!

Apotropaic Magic Symbolism Found on Ulrich Engraved Winchesters. Including Theodore Roosevelt’s 1892!

IMG_1484Apotropaic magic (from Greek apotrepein “to ward off” from apo- “away” and trepein “to turn”) is a type of magic intended to turn away harm or evil influences, as in deflecting misfortune or averting the evil eye. Apotropaic observances may also be practiced out of vague superstition or out of tradition, as in good luck charm (perhaps some token on a charm bracelet), amulets, or gestures such as crossed fingers or knocking on wood. There are many different symbol design’s. The image of the Newport Tower in Rhode Island on the left shows the center of the W making an X. Having done an investigative study on the tower. Many double x’s where discovered on the tower called “Witch Marks”  found on doorways, chimneys, window arches and on floor boards to ward of spirits. This was a common practice in the UK to see these symbols even at churches. Several locations in England and Scotland have excellant examples of buildings with this ancient symbolism fully documented. King James I of Scotlandexcellent, England and Ireland was very superstitious after a plot on his life that before he went to stay at one of his homes for a time that he had many talisman protection marks placed all over the house. You can read the interesting article on the James.

Auspice Maria This symbol consisting of the intertwined letters A and M, is called Auspice Maria, a monogram the Virgin Mary. Auspice Maria is Latin for “Under the protection of Mary” and is commonly found in Catholic religious art, on churches, and inscribed on jewelry. It is sometimes (incorrectly) referred to or used as a stand-in for the salutation “Ave maria.” This symbolism is found dating back to the 12th century with Commanderies of the Knights Templar & Knight’s of Malta. This also reflects the Logo symbolism of William & Mary Collage in the design letter initials of those sovereign’s. The earliest relic of the “M” ever found to date in America on American soil that is 400 years old. A silver religious box believed to be the containing the bones of a Saint, called a Reliquary. For those interested THERE IS AN AUSPICE ON THIS BOX. To the left of the M is the XX.

Reliquary Jamestown

Some of the earliest confirmed Colonial American Apotropaic symbols found, associated to weapons in America. Had been presented by scholars with the North Carolina “Black Beard-Queen Annes” ship wreck Museum. Discovered Apotropaic marks on a few of the lead sheets that covered the wick holes to prevent accidental discharge of loaded cannon on the infamous Pirate Captains ship, Edward Teach, aka Black Beard. May I thank the Museum for this image they sent me below. The academics proved these marks are talisman symbols placed on these lead sheets to protect the buccaneer gunners. The yellow arrow points to a slanted auspice XX, the red arrow points to an inverted M and the blue arrow points to a symbol the academics at the museum could not figure out! The image looks like a cut that is stitched up! This special gem is a cipher that Masons would place messages called a Pig Pen cipher. They would use numbers, dots or symbols on in the grid that corresponds with letters.

NOTE: For Winchester Rifle researchers! Go look at the famous factory smoke plate panels that show the deer jumping over the fallen log. Some higher end Winchesters do have the artist placing ciphers in the grid of the trees. One detailed one, can be seen on President Theodore Roosevelt’s 1876  Winchester . Another stylized version of this on standing trees by Ulrich’s. Has been found on TR’s 1892. The cipher line grid below is seen on many guild engraved relics of the 18th & 19th century. Many ciphers were invented in America on relics by the Philadelphia engravers. Even on the US Mint’s million dollar “George Washington Indian Peace Medals found on trees and on the feathers of arrow’s in the talons of the Eagle/Phoenix!

Several fully documented “Ulrich” Winchesters sold at known auction houses for six figure numbers. Still have the images online to see Apotropaic magic symbolism on the tang’s in excellent hi-resolution. Below, five paragraphs I copied from a UK site on architecture that covers the core history of the marks found on American engraved rifles and many other art guild associated relics for hundreds of years.  Revert back to the first images of this blog and see the Newport Tower Stone and look at this image below with the  W having the V in the center. The Newport Image is one of only a few dozen I found overlooked by researchers. If scholars even knew the history of the builds

Apotropaic3-300x135

Posted in: LASSCO News, LASSCO Three Pigeons, News 2013 Note the v on top, in the center ov the W. Several fully documented Ulrich Yellow-boys, signed by the Ulrich’s have these marks. Consisting of symbols (XX, WW, O, P, M, AVM, AVMVV)! Your just seeing the tip of the iceberg with the identification of  Winchester & Colt Firearms, over looked by scholars. Teddy Roosevelt’s 1892 has several several talisman marks. Which you will see in this blog post. Symbols “4AVM, WW and AVMVV” are totally out of place, compared to the to older ones on Ulrich Tangs, found on Yellow-boy’s. The location and shading method is the difference. The Ulrich’s on the 1892, shaded these symbols on this silver, nickel metal that was finished. Meaning its like taking a shading eraser and buffing the surface of a piece of finished jewelry. History states that after Roosevelt’s 1910’s South America excursion, her was very sick. This may be a very important connection to why these added mojo symbols were placed on Roosevelt’s 1892 Apache Scout and Plains People panels of Tr’s winchester.

Back to the British  write up from a 2013 study…In England…

QUOTE” From around 1550 to 1750 apotropaic markings are thought to have been widespread. In an age when the Church was in turmoil and printing was in its infancy – local, superstitious, hocus-pocus belief systems were deeply entrenched. Rural life was thick with measures to keep evil at bay. Then “Witches” were being tried, often involving ducking or weighing, and ultimately, tragically, “cured” through barbarous means … or burned.

At home, it was thought that with doors barred and windows shuttered – variously against the cold and the intruders and the evil – that the chimney, open to the sky, was vulnerable – particularly for incursions of the evil. Witches, you see, could turn themselves into birds or bats. Even James I included the subject in his 1597 treatise “Daemonologie”,

“For some of them sayeth that being transformed in the likeness of a little beast or fowl, they will come and pierce through, whatever house or church, though all ordinary passages be closed, by whatsoever open(ing) the air may enter in at.”

You can pick up remnants of these occult superstitions even today whether it be in nailed-up horse-shoes, genuflections to magpies, vampire stories (n.b their trouble with thresholds), or, dare I say it, Father Christmas himself.

If you live in a timber-framed house dating back earlier than the eighteenth century look out for scratchings on the bressumer beam, sometimes only very lightly inscribed at the top corners of the fireplace, like the scratching of a cat. Look for a repeated “W” – thought to be a double “V” for “Virgo Virginum”. Look for daisy wheels – a circular device with petals, or runic symbols – a “P” incorporating a cross, or a “W” incorporating a “P”. Look for two verticals with a “Saltire” cross between them – a motif also much used on iron door latches and bolts and wrought iron firedogs (St Andrew was considered the best hex against witches particularly in Northern England and Scotland).

Gary Notes” These symbols are seen on many Ulrich yellow-boy tangs and or stamped in the wood. Catalogers and historians refer to symbols as such, as being marks of fitters(housing/levers) and or inspectors marks! Except the variations found on Ulrich tangs, presented in images by Rock Island and James Julia Auction houses, prove that specific marks are occult that is indisputable. The reader must note that these auction houses have established archives of images that have become now very important in the advancements of why this history is being found on documented guns by the Ulrich’s! Yes, I tip my hat off to Rock Island and James Julia for the archives of very important images of the evidence that has advanced Firearms engraving history today! This creates a new market in the study of documented sold rifles in the past. Where specific art symbolism by theIMG_2207 engravers may make a $2k USD gun be worth tens of thousands. Many big money documented Ulrich rifles sold in the past may show translated ciphers and can skyrocket the sale value in the future. The historical gun markets in the worst economy will still command great value, dollar for dollar! Even in a horrific economy today and one thats coming in the near future!
